Next releases in the Shanghai Range

Have had some questions about this.

At the moment, we have roughly planned out the next four to twelve figures in the Shanghai range. As I've already said, they will likely include the Japanese, as well as new personalities. Likely sculptors will be Leandro and Curtis. Leandro has agreed to do the Japanese, and Curtis will be plugging away at several things over time.

At the moment, I am discussing a new group of henchmen with Curtis. I don't want to spoil too much of this, early on, but I can say that they will be very pulpy and specifically appropriate for China. Supernatural beings are not at all out of the realm of possibility...

Hi Alex,

I'm looking forward in seeing how this period unfolds. Whilst my focus is on the Japanese in the South West Pacific I've an interest in this.

Here is a photo of Japanese and British in Shanghai fighting the belligerents

Thanks Alex,

Helen

Very interesting indeed, Helen. Thanks for sharing.  Any idea when it dates to? After the Japanese takeover, the SMP was maintained by the Japanese until 1943. They spent a great deal of the time dealing with a number of what we'd call terrorist problems today. I believe it was the refusal of the SMP to endorse Japanese ideology which played a strong role in their being disbanded by the occupation forces.

As has been seen, a few things have changed since October. Leandro is still doing the Japanese, but we're debating what to do next. I am strongly leaning toward French Concession troops at the moment, but finding appropriate photos has been difficult, to say the least.

Some of the other ranges (the SMP, for example) will also be getting some new sculpts in the near future.

Hi Alex,

I located this particular photo from the Axis Forum. The photo was said to be around 1928.

I'm not familiar with this period so I just follow the leader.
