Brief Update on "The Last Decade"

Finally heard from the caster on the last of wave 1. (He's been a very busy fellow with my stuff, and a bunch of other customers, so no slight on him intended.) All is done and inbound to me.

Our painter for the sample figs dropped out after painting the first four figs, so I'm... err.. painting them myself, with Mina's help. Should have some sample photos of the first few releases for you soon. Some of the new packs to be released, to whet your appetite. Each will have approximately four figs, or one vehicle. More stuff is in the works, but this much is either here already or inbound from the caster:

"Armored Schoolbus(!)"
"Armored Sportscar"
"Eurotroopers"
"Last Decade Objectives #1"
"Mir Virus Ghouls"
"Nannuk" (Ok, still being sculpted, but this one will be COOL. Our first "big guy" for the range. I expect him to be the first out after these initial packs)
"Smilin' Pete and Friends"
"The Patrol"
"The Swarm"
"The Workshop"

Finally, and this is pretty cool, I have reached agreement on the license for the engine that the miniatures rules will be based upon. I will announce that when we release the first wave of minis, but it's probably a system you've heard of. Still need playtesters. Have one person onboard from the LAF/Here, plus a couple locals. Still looking for others.

(I'll also crosspost this at the LAF, probably faster than I normally would since I'm behind schedule,  but be assured that, as promised, you heard it here FIRST.)

p.s.

Daniel - thanks for letting me know that the forum is still active. The provider is supposed to send me updates on status for the forum, but doesn't always do so, so I was under the impression that the last posts were made in February.

Stark -

Certainly. What do you have in mind? Drop me a line or send me a message, whatever you prefer.

Everybody -

Got in the casts for the rest of Last Decade, Wave 1. Very nice stuff. The armored schoolbus is a huge, beautiful piece of resin. Just painted one up last night in a marathon session. Quite fun to work with.

Hi Alex

Sorry for the delay in replying. Major renovations have been absorbing me for a while. I am interested in versions of Mehmet Ali, the "Viceroy" of Egypt from 1804 to 1849 and his son Ibrahim Pasha, two really interesting characters from the first half of the 19th Century. They would be very usable in a variety of scenarios as a generic Eastern potentate and his adviser. I don't know of any versions of these two, some of the most important figures of early modern Middle Eastern history.

I have a heap of information, images etc.
