The Japanese for the Shanghai, 1930 range are now in the process of being sculpted by Leandro Ventic. Leandro's work also includes our Mata Hari, John Dillinger, and FC Julian, and Julian the Apostate sculpts.
There are six initial figs planned: four infantry in M1930 uniforms and "cherry blossom" helmets; and two special characters: Kawashma Yoshiko (the notorious Chinese princess turned Japanese agent) and a Japanese officer character - Colonel Washiji Toro, commander of Special Unit 66.
The Japanese troops will be equipped with optional gasmask heads, so that you can use them for various purposes (both pulpy and otherwise). The troops gasmasks would, for our purposes, represent members of Special Unit 66.
Should be very cool, yes. Still putting together ideas and such, but hopefully we'll have some supernatural allies appropriate to Japanese mythology (ghosts, oni, and the like.) Leandro just dropped me a line that he should have pictures to me soon (he's very close to being finished), so I'm -really- excited to see what he's come up with.
I should mention, in the interest of "fairness", that Fu'Xian also has some otherworldly minions planned, some of which are being finished up now.
